All goats over 6mo are tested yearly for CAE, CL, and Johnes. Additional testing can be done at the buyers request.
All kids come registered, disbudded, tattooed and dewormed before weaning.
We are involved in whole herd, continuous DHIA milk testing.
Kids are primarily bottle fed to encourage high growth rates, friendly personalities, and to manage doe’s lactations.
We try to match up the right kid with the right buyer, based on conformation, type and bloodline. Please let us know about any specific pairings you have in mind, and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.

We put a lot of care and effort into the goats we raise. We expect the same from our buyers. When inquiring about a Still Meadow kid, please first contact us via email and a further phone or in-person appointment will be made. In your email please include -
- Your experience, or lack of, raising animals. Particularly any history you have with goats.
- Your goals for the kid you would like to purchase (milk, meat, herd improvement, showing, etc).
- Your set up, or plans for your goat facilities
Buyers who do not intend to feed grain, expect to exclusively raise on pasture and browse, or who want an inexpensive animal that they can profit from, etc, will NOT be considered. Raising livestock is rarely cheap, and a quality animal requires quality care. Please only inquire if you are aware of and have embraced the cost and responsibility of raising goats. Goats in return, provide quality milk, meat and the joy of raising them.
Kids will only be sold in pairs, or to established goat herds. If you do not have goats already, please know that we will NOT sell pairs consisting of 1 doe & 1 buck.
